Meridian Chest Pain Center Re-Accreditation

In 2013, Meridian Health was the first and only New Jersey health care system recognized as a center of excellence in treating patients with chest pain. We earned the highest designated Chest Pain Center Accreditation by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), a global not-for-profit organization committed to leading the fight to eliminate heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide.

Meridian is currently in the process of seeking re-accreditation and we are asking for your support. Please help us re-affirm that our cardiovascular program provides the most dynamic, effective care for patients who present with symptoms of a heart attack.

Physician Education
As part of our re-accreditation process, we must provide mandatory yearly education on myocardial infarction patients. We are pleased to make available to you education on Troponin Testing by Amal Mattu, M.D., FAAEM, Professor and Vice Chair, and Director of the Emergency Cardiology Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Patient Education
For your convenience, below are free educational materials on early heart attack warning signs that can be easily printed and shared with your patients.

Accredited Chest Pain Centers quickly identify and treat patients suffering from a heart attack, and studies prove that people are one third more likely to survive a heart attack if treated at a certified Chest Pain Center. This award distinguishes Meridian as providing the best care available for patients who present with symptoms of a heart attack.

Thank you for your support.
